PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To certainly detect chuck operation of a work by jaw members with a simple structure in a composite air chuck having a casing coaxially installed with both an air cylinder mechanism for chucking and an air cylinder mechanism for a stroke inward and outward inside the casing. SOLUTION: In this air chuck, a first air cylinder mechanism 5 for a stroke having a large-diameter first piston 11 and a large-diameter first rod 12 is installed inside a casing 1, while a second air cylinder mechanism 6 for chucking having a small-diameter second piston 22 and a small-diameter rod 23 is coaxially installed inside the first air cylinder mechanism 5. A base end part of the second rod 23 is projected from the first piston 11, is extended to a position facing a position detection part 3 of the casing 1, and is installed with a magnet 44. The position detection part 3 is installed with a magnetic sensor 45, and an opening/closing position of the jaw members 30, 30 can be detected by detecting an operation position of the second rod 23. |
