摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of stabilizing a rotor supported by a magnetic bearing and capable of shifting the operation to the normal operation without reduction of the rotating speed of the rotor when failures occur. SOLUTION: An operating method for a rotor 1 having a magnetic bearing device and an auxiliary bearing device is provided. In this case, a rotor side and stator side friction surfaces are provided on the auxiliary bearing device, and the rotor side and stator side friction surfaces are brought into contact with each other and pressed by specified force in a case where failures causing the radial movement of the rotor occur. The auxiliary bearing device is composed of a ball bearing having a fixed ring 14 and a non-fixed ring 16. A friction surface 18 is provided on the non-fixed ring 16, and a friction surface 18 is brought into contact with a facing friction surface 20 of an ancillary stator part 12 when failures occur.
