PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitution of bottom bed sand capable of making cleaning of water in a water tank compatible with excellent growth of ornamental plant in the water tank. SOLUTION: This bottom bed sand for ornamental plant comprises a granular sintered compact consisting essentially of trass, is based on such a bond strength as to make a granular bond state collapse when the sintered compact is made into 1.0 cm thickness and >=2.5 kg/cm2 pressure is applied to the sintered compact and makes excellent filtration action of water compatible with growth of plant. |
