PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a thermoplastic resin film for obtaining with good productivity the thermoplastic resin film of superior thermal dimension stability, plane properties and uniformity in the width direction. SOLUTION: Respective treatments of the lateral orientation, heat fixation and heat limpness are applied on a traveling oriented thermoplastic resin film to manufacture a biaxially oriented thermoplastic resin film, and the treatments are applied in the order of the lateral orientation, heat relaxation and heat fixation in a thermoplastic resin film manufacturing method.
