PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin chromate treated metallic sheet free from environmental contamination, in which unevenness in appearance caused by blackening and dew condensation is hard to occur and capable of maintaining a beautiful surface appearance over a long period by realizing resin chromate excellent in corrosion resistance while chromium is made hard to dissolve. SOLUTION: This resin chromate treated metallic sheet is obtained by depositing a resin chromate film essentially consisting of a chromium compound and a water soluble or water dispersible resin on the surface of an Al-Zn series alloy plating film. In this sheet, the greater part of chromium is present as a trivalent compound compounded with phosphorous.
