METHOD FOR DETERMINING BICARBONATE ION IN LIQUID AND DRY TYPE ANALYTICAL ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a reaction system capable of measuring a bicarbonate ion in a liquid by using a light source of visible region in a sufficient substrate concentration by a small-sized equipment in a wide determination range quickly, simply and stably and to obtain a dry type analytical element for the reaction system. SOLUTION: This method for determining a bicarbonate ion by an enzyme method using phosphoenolpyruvate carboxylase and malate dehydrogenase as a coupling enzyme comprises using thio NAD(P) and NAD(P)H as a substrate. This dry type analytical element used for the method is provided.
