PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize the minimum rotation radius of an upper structure and install a roof on the minimum space smoothly by enlarging the maximum erecting angle of a boom without reducing the function of handrails. SOLUTION: A driver's seat 4 is provided on the upper face of a shovel body 3, front roof supports 15, 15, also functioned as vertical handrails are arranged in the frontward of the driver's seat 4 and rearward of a boom 8 constituting a work attachment 7 in such a state as not interfered with the front roof supports 15, 15 in all boom hoisting range through the whole swing operation range of the boom 8, and a roof covering the driver's seat from the upward is provided in the upper part of the both side front roof supports 15, 15.
