The invention pertains to a sheet-feed offset rotary printing machine and a rotary sheet-feed machine for multicolour printing. The invention addresses the problem of designing a sheet-feed offset rotary printing machine and a rotary sheet-feed machine in which sheets can be printed of a length matched to a simple nominal diameter or to a double nominal diameter. The proposed sheet-feed offset rotary printing machine comprises a forme cylinder (31), blanket cylinder (22) and a first impression cylinder (12) provided with a plurality of controlled gripper systems (14, 16, 17) and a second impression cylinder (86) provided with at least one controllable gripper system (83). T he first or second impression cylinder is optionally so arranged as to be capab le of co-operating with the blanket cylinder (22). The proposed rotary sheet-fe ed machine comprises a forme cylinder (31) and a first impression cylinder (12) provided with a plurality of controlled gripper systems and a second impression cylinder (86) with at least one controllable gripper system (83). The first or second impression cylinder is optionally so arranged as to be capable of co-operating with the forme cylinder.
