PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release the braking force of a parking brake even if the driving part of an electric motor or the like or the operation switch fails. SOLUTION: Either a hexagonal hole 39 capable of turning a worm gear 38 of a cable winding-up mechanism 32 for winding up the cable 26 of the parking brake by a hexagonal wrench inserted into the hole provided to the end of the turning shaft of the worm gear 38, or a hexagonal hole 43 capable of turning a rotor by a hexagonal wrench inserted into the hole provided to the end of the turning shaft of the rotor of the electric motor 42 is formed. When the operation switch of an electric parking brake or the electric motor 42 fails and the parking brake can be electrically released, a hexagonal wrench is inserted into the hexagonal hole 39 or 43 so that the worm gear 38 or the rotor of the electric motor 42 can be turned. Thereby the tension of the cable 26 of the parking brake is released to disconnect the parking brake.
