摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To joint a hollow shape from one side face being free from the precision of dimensions of a hollow shape or the like, and to make a joint high in strength. SOLUTION: The projecting pieces 12b and 22b of the face plates of hollow shape 10 and 20 are joined by a friction stirring joining from upper side. A joining member 30 is mounted on the face plates 11 and 21 of the upper face of the hollow shapes 10 and 20 and joined by the friction stirring joining from the upper side. The joined part is located at the point of intersection of a rib connecting two face plates 11 and 12 (21 and 22) and the face plate 11 (21). The joining of the joining member 30 and the face plates 11 and 21 is a laminated joining, but not a butt joining. Thus the joining is easily executed even when a production error of the hollow shapes 10 and 20 and a locating error exist.
