PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To connect a structural member by use of a bolt without using welding in a construction site. SOLUTION: This structural member is used by superposing and connecting the longitudinal edge 5 of a flat member 3 to the edge of a counter member, and it comprises a joint part 9 formed along the edge 5 of the flat member 3. The joint part 9 has a groove 11 formed along the edge 5, and the groove 11 is formed so that the width W1 of the bottom surface 15 of the groove 11 is larger than the width W2 of a protruding part 13 formed between the end 7 of the edge 5 and the groove 11.
