PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the feeling of imcompatibily of a driver when communicated with a second hydraulic source, in a brake device for controlling the liquid pressure in the brake cylinder to the magnitude corresponding to brake operating force in the ordinary time and for communicating the brake cylinder with the second hydraulic source in the abnormal time. SOLUTION: The second hydraulic source 72 includes a hydraulic assistor 78 and can produce a higher liquid pressure than that corresponding to the brake operating force. Since an accumulator 76 capable of accumulating a high-pressure operating liquid even if an abnormality is caused in the electric system is connected to the hydraulic assistor 78, the brake system can be operated even in the abnormal time of the electric system. Therefore, even in the time of abnormality, a higher liquid pressure than that corresponding to the brake operating force can be produced, and the vibration of the braking force to the same operating force is reduced, so that the feeling of imcompatibility of the driver can be reduced.
