PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a boat capable of reducing the manpower at the start by pedaling operation, ensuring the accelerating characteristic and the safety, and being transported by loaded on a trailer or a passenger car by improving a conventional manpower driving-type boat. SOLUTION: In a driving device for allowing a boat 2 to travel by operating a pedal 1 by interlocking a main shaft connected to the pedal 1, with a rotary shaft 9 connected to a propeller, a driving gear 4 engaged with the main shaft 3 and a driven gear 6 with transmission mechanism, engaged with a driven shaft 5 are hung on a chain 8 to be rotated, the torque of the pedal 1 is varied by the driven gear 6, a driven shaft 5 engaged with the driven gear 6 and a rotary shaft 9 locking an impeller 15 are connected by a bevel gear, and a transmission mechanism is switched corresponding to a traveling speed of a boat to obtain the optimum power.
