PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving wheel for a carrier truck in an article storage device allowing suppression of slipping or locking of the driving wheel even if a travel surface of a travel rail on which the carrier truck travels with an article placed is frozen, to secure stable traveling. SOLUTION: In this driving wheel 1 provided in a travel drive device 71 of a carrier truck 7, a large number of anti-slipping studs 2 are embedded in embedment holes 12 of a rotation surface 11. The stud 2 is made of a resin hardening in a temperature region below about 3 deg.C, bites into a frozen face 62 occurring on a travel surface of a travel rail 61 at low temperatures in winter, suppresses slipping of the driving wheel 1 when driving and suppresses locking of the driving wheel 1 when braking, to secure stable traveling of the carrier truck 7.
