A data storage apparatus (10) comprises a portable substrate (12) and a plurality of data storage media associated with respective regions of the substrate, where data for different purposes is recorded in the media. One of the media may comprise an optical medium, and may function as a compact disc for storing audio data, with an aperture (16) for use in a CD player. Alternatively this media could be a CD-ROM or a DVD, and the data could represent pages from a telephone manufacturer's web site. The substrate may be rectangular, in the form of a card. A further media (20) may enable the card to be used as a phone card, and may comprise two numbers, one of which is initially covered by a scratch-off panel. |
