PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bathtub provided with a peripheral part overhung from the upper end of a bathtub body to the periphery in the bathtub body forming a bathing space in which one can be soaked with hot water of a usually sufficient depth when it is filled with hot water, without increase of installation area. SOLUTION: A step is formed at the upper face of the peripheral overhung part 3 to form a step 4 lower than the outside edge 3a of the peripheral overhung part 3. A drain outlet 6 in which overflow water from the bathing space B can be drained is formed on the lower step 4. Further, it is preferable that an overflow cover 7 put over the lower step 4 is provided with a hung-down part 7a at the inner peripheral side of the cover 7 and a gap G for freely passing overflow water from the bathing space B toward the drain outlet 6 is formed between the lower end of the hung-down part 7a and the lower step 4. |
