PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify apparatus constitution or operation control by improving the concn. properties of org. waste and unifying sludge concentrating and separating operation in a method for concentrating organic waste such as organic sludge before decomposing the same by a biological digestion apparatus. SOLUTION: In a method for concentrating organic sludge before decomposing the same in a methane fermentation tank 2, the methane fermentation sludge withdrawn from the methane fermentation tank 2 is mixed with organic sludge to be concentrated in a concentration and separation apparatus 1.
