SOLUTION: A control device to drive and control an electric motor is provided in a hand truck equipped with a power assist function to drive a travelling unit by the electric motor. When an operational quantity X of a handle reaches a prescribed quantity exceeding a neutral area N, the electric motor is accelerated gradually from a stopped state and reaches fixed speed states D1, D2. The fixed speed values D1, D2 can be changeable and adjustable.
