PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal sublimation transfer printer and an image forming method capable of obtaining an image with the excellent printed image storage quality, by effectively preventing temperature rise in an image heating printing part by blocking the heat generated from a heating processing means at least to the image heating printing part. SOLUTION: A sublimation type thermal transfer printer comprising a heating printing means, a heating processing means for an image formed by transferring the dye from an ink ribbon containing a sublimation dye by the heating printing means, and a heat blocking means for blocking the heat generated from the heating processing means at least to the image printing part, and an image forming method using the sublimation type thermal transfer printer, are provided. |
