<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for automatically reducing the rolling speed of a rolled stock which is fed by recoiling a supply coil. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a coil diameter detecting means 5 for the supply coil 2, 1st storing means for storing information on the thickness of the rolled stock before rolling, means 7 for calculating the actual remaining length of the rolled stock for calculating the actual length of the rolled stock using the information on the coil diameter and information on the thickness of the rolled stock before rolling by the 1st storing means, 2nd storing means 8 for the information on the index length of the rolled stock which is taken as the index for starting the reduction of the rolling speed and left as the supply coil and rolling-speed control means 9. The actual length of the rolled stock which is obtained by the means for calculating the actual remaining length which is left as the supply coil is compared with the index length of the rolled stock left as the supply coil which is read from the 2nd storing means and, at the point of time when the actual length is not longer than the index length, the rolling speed is reduced.</p> |
