PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new copolymer that gives coating layers having excellent physical properties. SOLUTION: This new core/shell type copolymer comprises two or more acrylic copolymer parts having each a specific glass transition temperature range and is produced by the multistage polymerization.
