PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluid bearing capable of securing required loosening force by using a copper alloy having a material value of more than a specified value which is worked and hardened into a sleeve and a thrust plate, favourable in flatness of a thrust bearing surface and with small dispersion of groove depth of a radial bearing. SOLUTION: It is possible to secure required loosening force and to provide pumping work favourable in flatness of a thrust receiving surface of a thrust plate 13 pressure fitted on a shaft and favourable in a groove for generation of thrust dynamic pressure as a copper alloy material improving a material value by working and hardening it is used for a material of the thrust plate 13. Additionally, it is possible to reduce dispersion of depth of the groove and to secure stable pumping work as a sleeve 14 is formed of the copper alloy material improving the material value by working and hardening it in the same way and forming the groove for generation of radial dynamic pressure on its inner peripheral surface by rolling.
