PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric clamp device that can increase the clamp force, eliminate the complexity of pneumatic piping and the like and effectively use the installation space. SOLUTION: The electric clamp device comprises a rotary drive part 14 rotatively driven by electric signals, a gear mechanism 34 for transmitting the driving torque of the rotary drive part 14, a ball screw mechanism 36 for converting the rotation the gear mechanism 34 transmits thereto into rectilinear motion, and a toggle link mechanism 30 for converting the rectilinear motion the ball screw mechanism 36 transmits thereto into turning motion of a clamp arm 18.
