ACID-TREATED CALCIUM SILICATE PARTICLE AND ITS PRODUCING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a novel acid-treated calcium silicate powder which does not cause a coloring phenomenon due to the interaction between calcium exiting on the surface of calcium silicate and acidic chemicals. SOLUTION: The petal shaped calcium silicate (acid-treated calcium silicate) which is obtained by reacting petal shaped calcium silicate with an acidic aqueous solution is the novel acid-treated calcium silicate particles partially deprived of the calcium silicate on the surface of powdery particles, stable for the acidic chemicals and useful in pulverization of acidic medical drugs, and for tablets, excipients and compounding agents.
