PLASTICIZER MIGRATION-PROOFING WATER-BASED COATING COMPOSITION, AND METHOD FOR COATING USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject water-based, one-part type coating composition intended for application onto the surface of a plasticizer-contg. sealant or vinyl- based internal trim material so as to prevent the plasticizer therein from migration into the finish coating film, thereby mitigate the effect of the expansion/ contraction of such sealant or internal trim material and thus enable finish coating film cracking to hardly occur and in its turn finish coating film adhesion to the above material to be improved. SOLUTION: This water-based coating composition comprises a water-based resin having tertiary amine salt group and/or quaternary ammonium salt group and the polymer's glass transition temperature of -5 to 50 deg.C with the molar ratio of the tertiary amino group to tertiary amine salt group and/or quaternary ammonium salt group of (90:10) to (10:90).
