PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of positively preventing lifting of both side parts of a recording medium without soiling the recording medium. SOLUTION: This device is provided a recording medium regulating member 12 preventing lifting of a recording medium P supported by a support face 9a of a platen 9 toward a recording head 7 side. The recording medium regulating member 12 has a flat regulating part 14 with a front face facing the recording head 7 and a back face facing a front face of an end part of the recording medium P supported by the platen 9. This regulating part 14 is set so that a distance interval from its front face to the recording head 7 is larger than a distance interval from the front face Pa of the recording medium P to the recording head 7.
