PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small Buddhist altar to solve a problem that there is hardly find a place for making offerings in the increasing high-rise dwellings in which tokonoma is scarcely provided, and the alter is placed on a refrigerator, or on a triangle board fitted to a pole in an angle. SOLUTION: In a double-hinged small Buddhist altar having door opening and closing pivots at the eaves and bottom, circular arc or semi-elliptic external portions are provided around the bottom door opening and closing pivots in the direction of right and left extensions outward of the right and left door opening and closing pivots at the bottom corresponding to the right and left door opening and closing pivots of the eaves of the small household Buddhist altar, and the length of both ends of the circular arc or semi-elliptic external portions extended outwardly of the right and left door opening and closing pivots of the bottom of the small Buddhist altar 1.1-1.4 times the width of the small Buddhist altar, and the length of the forward end portions of the semi-elliptic external portions extended in the direction of the depth of the right and left door opening and closing pivots of the bottom of the small Buddhist altar is 0.20-0.40 times the depth.
