<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for treating a waste gas of PCB- polluted matter cleaning having a life capable of being prolonged as much as possible by regenerating activated carbon as so required in the case of treating the waste gas discharged at the time of cleaning the PCB-polluted matter with a solvent. SOLUTION: In the waste gas treatment method comprising an activated carbon adsorption process for introducing a waste gas generated and discharged at the time of cleaning PCB-polluted matter with a solvent into activated C for performing adsorption, two or more activated carbon layers are formed. The treatment method comprises a desorption process of stopping the supply of the waste gas to the activated carbon layer employed to the adsorption process and desorbing a part of the substances adsorbed in the activated carbon adsorption process by decreasing the pressure and/or heating the adsorption layer and an adsorption process of cooling and condensing the desorbed gas containing the desorbed substances and introducing the non- condensable substances into another activated carbon layer having the adsorption capability and thus the activated carbon layer employed for the adsorption process before can be regenerated to restore the adsorption capability for the waste gas of PCB-polluted matter cleaning.</p> |
