PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a top element for a cabriolet top having lightweight and large strength and manufactured at a low cost. SOLUTION: This invention relates to a top element for a cabriolet top. This top element is formed of a synthetic resin member 2 and a metal thin plate member 3 as a composite component, and major ranges of the synthetic resin member 2 and the metal thin plate member 3 are mutually separated so that a hollow chamber structure with rigidity is formed.
