SOLUTION: A lower shoe 1 having a side arresting part 12 raised over the whole periphery of a steel sheet 11 is placed on a foundation structure or erected structure, and a plurality of divided bearing rubber plates 2 is arranged thereon. An upper shoe 3 having a flat bottom surface is placed on this, and the horizontal movement of the upper shoe 3 is arrested by the side arresting part 12. The upper surface of the upper shoe is flatly finished, a stainless steel plate is adhered thereto, and a bridge girder is supported thereon through a slide plate. The rubber plate 2 is deformed by the placing of a load thereon, and filled in the space enclosed by the upper shoe 3, the lower shoe 1, and the side arresting part 12, when a prescribed load is placed thereon, to support a large load without causing a compression breakage.
