PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning method and apparatus for obtaining a synthetic resin-made article having a high cleanliness by a method wherein various synthetic resin-made articles are cleaned by a simple means in a short time at a low cost. SOLUTION: A synthetic resin-made article to be cleaned is dipped into ultrapure water, or the ultrapure water is stored inside that, and the ultrapure water is irradiated with a microwave. A method for cleaning the synthetic resin-made article is obtained thereby. Besides an apparatus for cleaning the synthetic resin-made article is equipped with an ultrapure water supply means for dipping the article to be cleaned into the ultrapure water or storing the ultrapure water inside that, and a means for irradiating the ultrapure water with the microwave.
