PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine varying a washing condition according to the service water hardness in a using area for washing without any deterioration in cleaning ability. SOLUTION: A washing control unit controlling respective process such as washing, rinsing, and dewatering processes is constructed of a using area information inputting means 251 inputting using area information of service water, a water hardness setting means 252 setting service water hardness from an area service water hardness table 311 previously storing a relationship between the using area information and the service water hardness based on the inputted using area information, a washing course inputting means 253 inputting a washing course, a washing condition setting means 254 setting a washing condition matching the set service water hardness from a washing condition table 312 previously storing washing conditions matching the service water hardness based on the washing course and the set service water hardness, and a washing condition outputting means 255 outputting the set washing condition to a washing driving circuit.
