PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bite-sized coated-type food affording good palate feeling and taste even if processed into a frozen food with no thawing unevenness, and to provide a method for producing a coated-type food in a stable baking process through obviating its puffing phenomena. SOLUTION: This food is obtained by rolling dextrin-formulated ingredients in a coating formed of a dextrin-formulated heat-solidified food. This food thus obtained has a bell-shaped external form composed of cylindrical portion and semispherical portion adjacent to one end thereof, being 20-50 mm in the overall height and the cylindrical portion diameter, respectively, 0.8-1.5 in the ratio of the diameter to the overall height, 15-50 g in weight and 0.5-8 mm in coating thickness. |
