PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce a polyimide tubular material having a small change in volume resistivity for an applied voltage and to provide a method for producing the polyimide tubular material. SOLUTION: This polyimide tubular material comprises an electroconductive material in an amount within the range of >=2 and <=20 wt.% and has an R10 within the range of >=108 to <=1013Ωcm and the ratio of both R10/R100 is within the range of >=1 and <=10 when the volume resistivity at 10 V applied voltage is R10 and the volume resistivity at 100 V applied voltage is R100. The tubular material is produced by regulating the electroconductive material to <=500 nm average particle diameter and 1,000 nm maximum particle diameter of the electroconductive material in a polyimide precursor liquid, dispersing the electroconductive material in the polyimide precursor liquid, cast molding the resultant dispersion onto a metal mold surface and heat-treating the cast molded product.
