PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate handing operations when a wheelchair is not used. SOLUTION: A pair of right and left wheels 3, 3 are supported against the sides of a body frame 2. A seat 12 is supported on the body frame 2 between the right and left wheels 3, 3. The seat 12 includes a seat part 61 supported against the body frame 2 to allow an occupant to be seated thereon, a backrest part 62 formed to project upwardly from the rear end of the seat part 61 to allow the occupant seated on the seat part 61 to lean thereagainst, a pivot 67 for pivotally supporting the lower end of the backrest part 62 against the body frame 2 so that the backrest part 62 freely rotates back and forth, and armrests 68 extended on the respective sides of the seat part 61 and the backrest part 62. The seat 12 also includes pivots 69 for pivotally supporting the front ends of the armrests 68 to the sides of the seat part 61 so that the armrests 68 freely rotate up and down, and locking means 70 for freely detachably locking the rear ends of the armrests 68 to the sides of the backrest part 62.
