PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To freely deal with the displacing method for two shielding elements and a roller table corresponding to the elements and, as a result, to achieve furthermore uniform temperature gradient of a strip. SOLUTION: This is the displacing method for two shielding elements 9. In this displacing method, a strip width b, strip center 5 and edge part regions 6 is conveyed on the roller table having the roller-table center 3 in the conveying direction x, the strip 2 has a temperature gradient over the strip width b, a cooling medium 8 is shielded from the edge part regions 6 of the strip 2 with the shielding elements 9 and the shielding elements 9 are displaced so that the temperature gradient is brought near to the reference temperature gradient at the rear part of the shielding elements 9 from the view in the conveying direction x, the shielding elements 9 are displaced asymmetrically in regard to the roller-table center 3.
