PURPOSE: To provide a small-sized laminated ceramic electronic component of high reliability with no structural defect, by laminating thin internal electrodes and ceramic layers. CONSTITUTION: In a laminated ceramic electronic component including a plurality of ceramic layers 2 and internal electrodes 8, 9, the ceramic layer 2 is 3 μm or less thick, and the mean size of a ceramic grain is larger than 0.5 μm and the size of the ceramic grain in the direction of the thickness of the ceramic layer 2 is smaller than the thickness of the ceramic layer 2 and the internal electrodes 8, 9 are 0.2-0.7 μm. It is desirable that the metal powder of a paste forming the internal electrodes 8, 9 be a base metal Ni and that the mean size of the metal powder be 20-200 nm, and that the mean size of the raw material powder of the ceramic be 25-250 nm.
