PURPOSE: To get a turbine-required rotating machine of gas cooling type which has high cooling performance and is low-cost and high in reliability. CONSTITUTION: In a turbine generator comprising a rotor 1 the winding slot and the sub slot of a rotor 1, rotor winding where conductors and insulating material are stacked alternately, a wedge, and a radial ventilation passage connecting the subslot with a front wedge, a projection 22 is provided at the inner face of the above radial ventilation passage, and besides the height of the projection 22 is varied in the position in the axial direction of the rotary shaft. According to this, a gas cooling type of rotating machine for a turbine which is low-cost and highly reliable and small-sized can be obtained.
