PURPOSE: A ticket examination system, a ticket processing terminal and a method for changing the train data of a ticket are provided, to allow the processing for a long distance ticket, the adjustment of fare and the re-issuing of the ticket to be performed easily. CONSTITUTION: The ticket examination system comprises a ticket issuing machine capable of issuing a magnetic train ticket where the train data are recorded as magnetic data, and a radio train ticket for transmitting the train data by wireless communication; an automatic ticket examination machine(11) for examining the ticket corresponding to the train data on the magnetic train ticket or radio train ticket issued by the ticket issuing machine; and a train ticket processing terminal which is carried by a train clerk for carrying out the train ticket process including excess fare adjustment by wireless communication with the radio train ticket. Preferably the ticket examination system issues a magnetic train ticket in a short distance travelling and a radio train ticket in a long distance travelling.
