PURPOSE: An eccentric connecting rod is provided to increase compression ratio with a light and small engine, and to improve combustion efficiency. CONSTITUTION: A connecting rod is composed of a small end(42); a large end(43); a rod(41) connecting the small end and the large end; a piston insertion hole in the small end moved from the central axis of the rod to the right; a crank pin insertion hole in the large end moved from the central axis of the rod to the left; and a clearance(44) in the upper part of a crank pin inserted to the crank pin insertion hole. An angle having the large sine value is formed between the rod and a crank rod in placing a piston(12) at the top dead center. The eccentric connecting rod provides the minimum distance to transmit force on placing a piston(12) at the top dead center.
