PURPOSE: An optical head is provided to make plural divided light receiving parts of a light receiving part properly receivable return light of respective laser beams emitted from these light sources of a light emitting part wherein respective light sources emitting the laser beams corresponding to different kinds of plural optical recording media are housed within the same package. CONSTITUTION: An optical head is provided with a light emitting part(3) wherein the relative positional relation between a first light source and a second light source is set so that the line connecting the spot position of a first laser beam irradiating an optical recording medium(2) to the spot position of a second laser beam irradiating the optical recording medium crosses so as to be nearly orthogonal to the recording track of the optical recording medium and the light receiving part(10) having plural light receiving parts divided by a dividing line nearly parallel to a projected line when the line connecting the spot position of the first laser beam irradiating the optical recording medium to the spot position of the second laser beam irradiating the optical recording medium is projected on the light receiving part(10).
