GAS-LIQUID CONTACTING METHOD

PURPOSE:To enhance absorbing performance by providing >=2 sets of a spray device in series in a gas transfer path and regulating the gas-liquid contacting velocity in the front-step spray device to >=2 times of the liquid contacting velocity in the rear-step spray device. CONSTITUTION:Combustion exhaust gas is introduced from the top part of a preliminary desulfurizing part 11 and therein brought into contact with an absorbing liquid sprayed from a spray device 16 and both dust removing and cooling treatment and preliminary desulfurizing treatment are performed. Thereafter the combustion gas is introduced into a desulfurizing part 12 and the absorbing liquid is sprayed from a spray device 13 and the residual part of SOX is largely absorbed and the combustion gas is discharged to the outside. The gas-liquid contacting velocity in the rear-step spray device 13 is regulated to (1-4)m/s and the gas-liquid contacting velocity in the front-step spray device 16 is regulated to (8-15)m/s being >=2 times thereof and the desulfurizing operation is performed and absorption performance is enhanced.
