PURPOSE: A microwave oven is provided to indicate various cooking menus and various cooking conditions in a relatively small space. CONSTITUTION: A microwave oven comprises a body divided into a cooking chamber and a machine room; a door; and an operating panel(10). The operating panel contains a supporting plate(11) and a PCB(printed circuit board)(20). The supporting plate has a rotating knob(30) as an operating portion, a ring shaped indicating portion(35) as an upper menu indicating device, an indicating portion(12) as a lower menu indicating device and a memory. An indicator portion(33) is installed around the rotating knob with a mark portion(31) or instead of the mark portion. The ring shaped indicating portion consists of plural icons. The PCB has a liquid crystal screen(40) divided into plural indicating sections(40a,40b,40c) corresponding to the icons and plural LEDs(light emitting diodes)(43a,43b). Further, the PCB has a display liquid crystal screen(60) corresponding to the indicating portion as a timer.
