PURPOSE: The method and system for forecasting the price of a stock is provided to help personal investors by forecasting a closing price of securities having fluctuating price. CONSTITUTION: A host server stores registered data in a member database by classifying the members as a general member or a group member(S102). The host server calls information with respect to a stock selected by a client from a stock database and stores the information in a voting database by reflecting a user's vote and a forecasting stock price fluctuating rate(S106). If the client selects a showing for a recommendation list(S108), the host server calculates a total voting items, voting number and forecasting fluctuating rate from the voting database and outputs the result to a web browser program of the client(S110). The host server accumulates information of the last week voting result, voting items and a forecasting fluctuating rate(S112). The host server stores a hitting ratio in a voting state accumulating database by comparing the voting result of the last week with an actual stock price in this week(S114). The host server calculates a higher results group and a hitting ratio higher rank group during a specific period and stores the calculated value in an upper group database(S116). If the client selects a showing for weekly results of an item recommendation(S122), the host server calls the result stored in the voting state accumulating database and offers the client(S124).
