PURPOSE:To reproduce a pickup roller, by setting a polishing device surface of an abrasive sheet on a medium in making it turn up and, after polishing the surface in rotating the pickup roller, making the abrasive sheet turn back, then cleaning a surface of the pickup roller by means of similar operations. CONSTITUTION:An abrasive sheet 13 is one that sticks a polishing device 11 on the whole surface of each sheetlike base material 10 on one side, having almost the same width in size as a medium 1 and also sticks a cleaning device 12 on the whole surface on the other, respectively. When a pickup roller 3 is regenerated, first the polishing device 11 is turned up and set on the medium, and when the pickup roller 3 is forcedly pressed and rotated in an arrow A, a surface of the roller 3 is ground by the polishing device 11, thus it is regenerated into such a surface that has friction force as in a new one. Next, the abrasive sheet 13 is turned back, rotating the roller 3 likewise, and grinding swarf or the like produced at the time of polishing is removed by the cleaning device 12 constituted of a nonwoven fabric. With this constitution, the roller 3 is reproducible without replacing it with a new one, thus economization comes to fruition. |
