摘要 PURPOSE: To prevent short circuits between a fuse and a substrate and to obtain a desired voltage by suitable fuse burning in an arbitrary voltage generating structure, which has a plurality of fuses on the substrate and obtains a desired output voltage, by applying a predetermined voltage and burning at least one of the fuses, and a solid-state image pickup element using the same. CONSTITUTION: (1) An arbitrary voltage generating structure has a plurality of fuses 3 on a substrate 1, the fuses are obtained by applying voltage across them, and since at least one of the fuses is burnt by applying a prescribed voltage to the fuses, a desired output voltage is obtained. In such an arbitrary voltage generating structure, regarding the relationship of a film thickness between an insulating film 2, which insulates the fuses from the substrate on the substrate side, and insulating materials 4 and 7 on the opposite substrate side of the fuses, relation of a film thickness is established, where the insulating film on the substrate side can maintain its insulating function at a voltage applied for burning the fuses, and (2) a solid-state image pickup element uses the structure of (1).
