A filtering tube (10), e.g. a cross-flow filtering tube, comprises one or more layers (34, 36) of a presintered web of steel fibers. At least one of the layers has steel fibers with a diameter smaller than 8 mu m. The layers are preshaped. The layers overlap with each other and form an overlapping zone (38). The overlapping zone comprises a continuous resistance weld (16). |
