EARTH RETAINING WORK STRUCTURE AND GROUND EXCAVATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earth retaining wall structure removing the effect of water pressure applying to the earth retaining wall in the earth retaining works excavating the ground with high groundwater level. SOLUTION: This earth retaining structure is constituted of an earth retaining wall 10 of open channel structure constructed in excavating the ground and an impermeable wall 30 constructed in the ground a prescribed distance towards the rear face side from the earth retaining wall 10 along the earth retaining wall 10. The groundwater level of the ground between the construction position of the earth retaining wall 10 and the impermeable wall 30 is lowered by the groundwater level lowering means so that the front face of the earth retaining wall 10 is excavated.
