PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly and also accurately detect eyes even in the case one eye is not detected. SOLUTION: This device is provided with an image outputting means CL1 outputting facial image data of a crew member, a characteristic quantity detecting means CL2 which processes the facial image data and detects facial characteristic quantity, a 1st eye position detecting means CL3 detecting the positions of eyes on the basis of the facial characteristic quantity, an area deciding means CL4 which decides a prescribed area including the detecting eyes for both eyes one for each and also traces the eyes due to the prescribed area, a 2nd eye position detecting means CL5 detecting the positions of both the eyes in each prescribed area, an area expanding means CL6 expanding the prescribed area when the 2nd eye position detecting means no longer detect either eye between both the eyes, and a 3rd eye position detecting means CL7 detecting the positions of both the eyes in the expanded prescribed area. |
