PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an initial charging system for charging the extremely consumed battery of a cellular telephone without excessive temperature increase in the battery or the failure in functions. SOLUTION: In a system for charging a battery for cellular telephones, the temperature of the battery is detected and compared with a specific limit value, and further a battery state is detected and compared with preset conditions. When the battery temperature exceeds a temperature limit value or the battery state does not satisfy preset conditions, a charge cycle is deactivated.
